She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen A. Day (Bessie Presley Day) and Bonnie; and her son Joseph Glen Whitley. She is survived by: her husband Reese Whitley; her children, Reinor Jay Whitley (Tricia) and Jennifer Whitley McCarthy (Rob); her grandsons, Robbie and Jackson McCarthy; and her brother George E. Day (Loretta).
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bedford Baptist Church (1516 Oakwood St, Bedford, VA 24523).
