She was predeceased by: her parents, David Gibb and Frieda Wehrkamp Gibb; her husband Elbert Cornelius DeKorte; and her brothers, Arthur Gibb and Herbert D. Gibb.
She is survived by: her children, Alice Hann, Deanna Tsapatakis and Gary DeKorte. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tharp Funeral Home - Bedford (320 N Bridge St, Bedford, VA 24523). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
