As Ada departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Ada may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Ada leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Franklin Tindell and Nettie Jane Jackson Tindell; her husband William C. Mattox, Jr.; and her son Joel. She is survived by: her children, Larry Mattox (Kathy) of Louisa, Nathan Mattox (Mendy) of Murrells Inlet and Melissa Mattox of Clifton Forge. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; and six nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Nicely Funeral Home (405 Alleghany St, Clifton Forge, VA 24422).
