He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeanette Pierce Wright and Lesley Webster Wright; and his sister Judy Tate. He is survived by: his daughters, Brien Britt (Craig), Laurie Givens (George), Amy Robinson (Scott) and Mary Lou Wright; and his siblings, Ardell, Martha and Lesley (Carolyn). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
