He was predeceased by : his parents, Russell Griffin and Nellie Orlene Godsey Griffin; his former life partner Ann Goodman Griffin; and his siblings, Janet Driscoll, Russell Hord Griffin Jr., Charles Sidney Griffin, Horace Rudolph Griffin and Anthony Cornell Griffin.
He is survived by : his wife Mary Anne Beazley Griffin; his stepson John Coffey; his daughter-in-law Michelle Coffey; and his granddaughter Megan Coffey of Beaverdam, VA.. He is also survived by extended family consisting of many nieces and nephews.
