She was predeceased by: her parents, Alton E Via and Virginia Bradley Via; and her son Donald C Lay, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Donald Courtenay Lay; her daughters, Stephanie "Cindy" Mills (Raymond) of Boston, VA, Vicki Richards of Charlottesville and Leeann Chipok (Steve) of Culpeper; and her brother Fred "Cotton" Via of Florida. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lay Family Cemetery.
