She is survived by: her children, Rachel Byrd and Elijah "Eli" Byrd, II; her siblings, Joan Corder and Douglas Earl (Carol); her grandchildren, Micheal Collins, Emily Byrd and Elijah "E. J." Byrd, III; and also Harold Hiner. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
