It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Debra Whitmer Bodkin (Basye, Virginia), who passed away on October 1, 2024, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman "Buck" Elmo Whitmer and Catherine "Cat" Cleary Whitmer. She is survived by: her children, Jeremy Bodkin (Shaula) and Jenny Newberger (Rich); her grandchildren, Oliver, Myles, Beau and Stella; and her siblings, William "Butch" Whitmer (Hilda) and Linda Churchill. She is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephew, friends and family.

I am frustrated and sad that I only discovered her passing, and missed the tribute to her today. I thought I would have plenty of time to see her again. Love to the family that she loved so much, at one time we spent a lot of time together, at work and outside of work, she loved her family so much! My deepest sympathy to you for this loss.
