It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Verna Gray Stowers of Bastian, Virginia, born in Burkes Garden, Virginia, who passed away on April 13, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Newton Rayburn Stowers, Jr. (June) of Clearfork, VA; her parents, Jesse Bane Lampert and Louisa Deborah Tibbs Lampert; her siblings, Vernal Lampert (Buck) and Eva Mae Lampert Myers; and her nephew Owen Russ Lampert of Burke's Garden, VA..
She is survived by: her son Russell Bane Stowers (Vicki Buchanan Stowers); her granddaughter Amanda Stowers Coley (Joseph Coley); and her great grandchildren, Savannah and Scarlett Coley.
