She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Hackney and Virgie Hackney (Mullins); her husband Curtis Looney; her children, Clayton Looney, Earl Looney and Hazel Byers; her grandsons, Clayton Looney Jr. and Bobby Byers; and her daughter-in-law Linda Looney.
She is survived by: her children, Curtis Looney Jr. (Sherry Looney) of Harman, Virginia Fields (Gary Fields) of Conaway, VA, Roger Looney (Dreama Looney) of Rural Retreat, VA and Judy Hackney of Bastian, VA.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Grundy Funeral Home (22208 Riverside Dr, Grundy, VA 24614). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at the Epling Cemetery.
