With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Robert Greer of Bassett, Virginia, born in Rocky Mount, Virginia, who passed away on September 16, 2021 at the age of 73. He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Lewis Greer and Mary Jane Lawson Greer; and his brothers, Dradart Greer and Lane A. Greer. He is survived by: his wife Anna Greer; his son Charles Robert Greer; his sister Jane Spencer; and his stepchildren, Darrell Hylton, Elizabeth Hylton and Karen Hylton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
