With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Troy Dallas Spencer of Bassett, Virginia, who passed away on May 10, 2022 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Spencer and Kate Fretwell Spencer; his wife Inez Spencer; his brother-in-law Lindsey Warren; and his niece Kitty Lane Warren Wilson.

He is survived by: his daughter Pamela Rakes (Everett Rakes, Jr.); his grandsons, Brandon Rakes and Trevor Dean Rakes; and his sister Regina Spencer Warren.

Donations can be made to the Blackberry Baptist Church or to the Blackberry Baptist Church Cemetery fund at 3241 Stones Dairy Rd, Bassett, Va. 24055.
