Silas Sykes Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Silas Sykes of Bassett, Virginia, born in Washington, Virginia, who passed away on July 22, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Sykes of Utah and Vergie Wolfe Sykes; and his siblings, John Dempsey Sykes and Lola Prater. He is survived by: his wife Judy Case Sykes; his sons, Robert Dwayne Sykes (Amy) of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Lonnie Ray Sykes (Crystal) of Bassett and Gregory Allen Sykes (Catherine) of Greensboro, NC; and his grandchildren, Chelsea Martin (Brandon), Hunter Sykes, Judith Sykes, Madison Ratliff (Matthew), Colt Sykes, Natalie Sykes and Tony Sykes. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
