It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger Lee Boyd of Bassett, Virginia, born in Galax, Virginia, who passed away on October 1, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville R. Boyd and Emeline Sizemore Boyd; his brother Robert Boyd; and his nephew Greg Boyd. He is survived by: his children, Allen Boyd (Cristy) of Stuart and Lea-Anne E. Boyd of Martinsville; his grandchildren, Corby Allen Boyd, Allison Renee Boyd, Cameron Boyd (Grace) and Jazmyne Boyd; his brothers, Kenneth Boyd (Evelyn) of Meadows, Jerry Dean Boyd of Meadows and Garry Boyd of Meadows; and his nephew Thomas Boyd. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
