He is survived by: his wife Susan Witt; his daughters, Rebekah Sackrider (Colin), Karen Wimbish (Robert), Penny Cox and Anita Rodriguez; his stepsons, James "Jimmy" Edward Scearce and Timothy Bryan Scearce; and his sisters, Sharon Harris (Fred), Brenda Moore (John), Myrna Knight (Roy), Maxine Lucas and Marjorie Bowles (Roy).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church, 2480 Fairystone Park Hwy, Bassett, VA 24055.
