He was predeceased by: his parents, George H. Shively and Laura Alice Robertson Shively; his brother William Earnest "Pig" Shively, Sr.; his nephew William Earnest Shively, Jr.; and his niece Moleta Spencer.
He is survived by: his siblings, Duel Shively and Louise Spencer (John); his nieces and nephews, Sherry Thomas, Kathy Dodson, Teddie Shively, Anson Shively, Barry Shively, Danny Spencer and Mark Spencer; and his close friend Roy Lafferty.
