With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joanne Sowers Davidson of Bassett, Virginia, born in Martinsville, Virginia, who passed away on November 2, 2021 at the age of 74. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred M. Sowers, Sr. and Bertha Chaney Sowers; her husband C. Davidson; her grandson Dustin Davis; and her stepson Calvin Davidson.
She is survived by: her sons, Tim Davis (Allison) and Scott Davis (Dawn); her grandchildren, Austin Davis, Morgan Davis, Ashley Parker (Jeffrey), Brandon Markuson (Natsha) and Brittany Markuson; her great grandchildren, Savannah, Sophia, Aiden, Silas and Kayden; her siblings, Linda Delamarter (Jon), Avon Grosso (Joe), Pam Birden (Rick) and Alfred "Monty" Sowers, Jr.; and also Faith Davis Markuson (James). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
