She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Elijah Poteat, Minister Jessie B. Hairston and Elizabeth Hairston. She is survived by: her parents, Jeffrie Hairston and Pam Hairston of Martinsville; her daughter Nykaila Sligh; her brother Jeffrie Hairston, Jr.; and her grandmother Odaris M. Richardson. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
