James Whitlow Sr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Whitlow Sr. of Bassett, Virginia, born in Franklin, Virginia, who passed away on June 25, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Whitlow and Elsie Ratcliff Whitlow; and his daughter Debra Gail Whitlow. He is survived by: his wife Lorene Cox Whitlow; his sons, James D. Whitlow, Jr. (Janice) of Ridgeway and Jerry D. Whitlow (Dreama) of Gilroy, CA; his grandchildren, Lorri Tate, Brent Whitlow, Kristin Whitlow, Lauren Martin and Jordan Whitlow; his great grandchildren, Allie Whitlow, A. J. Whitlow and Paisley Martin; and his brothers, Bobby Whitlow (Brenda) of Henry and John Edward Whitlow (Margie) of Henry. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
