James C. Handy Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James C. Handy of Bassett, Virginia, who passed away on February 1, 2021 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James C. Handy to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Sherman Handy and Ida Lee Mabe Handy; his wife Aileen Adams Handy; his daughters-in-law, Carolyn Adams and Georgia Kaye Adams; and his sisters, Myrtle Woodall and Laura Adams.
He is survived by: his children, Samuel Adams, Keith Adams (Linda) and Wanda Miller; his grandchildren, James Adams-Boyles, Trey Miller, Lynn Wolf, Kim Wood Josh Callahan and Benjamin Adams; and his sister Clara Taylor (Lester). He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Due to the governor's requirements for COVID-19, a face covering is required and social distancing is to be observed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Blackberry Baptist Church in memory of James Handy.
