She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Brown Sigmon and Erma Sigmon; her husband Donald A. Pilson; and her siblings, Goldie Grubb, Neva Martin, Elva Foley, Wayne Sigmon and Woody Sigmon.
She is survived by: her children, Peggy Pilson Moran (Douglas) and Gary Akers Pilson (Glenda); her grandchildren, Melissa P. Hylton, Jessica M. Davis (Jason), Bridget P. Boyer (Robbie), Jarrett Moran and Chad Pilson (Samantha); her great grandchildren, Tyler Hylton, Logan Hylton, Drew Boyer, Madie Boyer, MacKenzie Pilson, Riley Pilson, Collins Davis and Gentry Davis; her great great grandchildren, Westen and Lainey Hylton; her brothers, Kyle Sigmon (Kitty Lou) and Guy Sigmon (Mary); and her sister-in-law Patsy Foley. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bassett Funeral Service (3665 Fairystone Park Hwy, Bassett, VA 24055). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at the Roselawn Burial Park (103 Clearview Dr, Martinsville, VA 24112).
