It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard Ebenezer McGhee of Bassett, Virginia, born in Henry County, Virginia, who passed away on November 6, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard McGhee and Ruby Hairston McGhee; and his son Charles E. McGhee. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Dillard McGhee; his children, Julia M. McGhee, Karen L. Ross, Kirk L. McGhee (Whitney) and Loren E. McGhee (Renae); and his siblings, Bubbee McGhee, Natalie McGhee, Issac McGhee and Marion McGhee (Debbie). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
