It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold Cook Smith of Bassett, Virginia, who passed away on February 4, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Smith and Stella Cook Smith; his wife Frances Hairfield Smith; and his brothers, Herman Lester Smith and Ned Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Branch (Ronnie) and Harold Randolph "Randy" Smith (Angela); his brother Howard Smith; his grandsons, Travis Smith, Bradley Branch and Jonathan Branch; and his great grandchildren, Colton Branch, Paisley Branch and Alton Branch.
