He was predeceased by: his mother Jessie Marie Martin Slate; his daughter Jorgia Ann Burgart; his brother Andy Edwards; and his grandparents, Richard Roland Burgart, Esther Mae Murphy Burgart, Andy Martin and Gladys Martin.
He is survived by: his father Richard Ray Burgart; his stepmother Sherry Burgart; his brothers, Jerone Mabe and Chris Mabe; and his niece Grace Mabe. He is also survived by numerous cousins and aunts.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Service Chapel (1425 Greensboro Rd, Martinsville, VA 24112). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
