He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Swanny Rigney and Clara Scearce Rigney; and his sisters, Ella Rigney Riddle and Shirley Rigney Eanes. He is survived by: his stepson Ricky Bates (Ginger); his siblings, Nancy Rigney Heath, Linda Rigney Barbour (Dickie), Deloris Hankins Lewis (Kenneth), Mary Rigney Mays (Brian), Tommy Lee Rigney (Martina) and Gary Ray Rigney (Angela); and his stepgrandchildren, Ricky Bates, Jr. (Stephanie) and Sara Hankins (Brandon). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
