It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Musselman of Bassett, Virginia, who passed away on October 18, 2021, at the age of 52, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father David John Musselman, Sr.; his stepfathers, Rodney M. Conner, Sr. and Joseph L. Dillon, Sr.; and his brother Daniel Musselman. He is survived by: his mother Mary Ann Guilliams Musselman; his son David Dakota Musselman; his brother Darrell "Jody" Musselman; and his stepsiblings, Robert Dillon, Robbie Conner, Jr. and Mary Dillon.

“David was my best friend and boyfriend for 17yrs. He was stepfather to my kids and step grandfather to the grandkids. We celebrated births and weddings and mourned deaths.. I knew him better than anyone else and I was lucky to have known him for over 20 some odd years. And I had his back when his family didn't.ipray the person's responsible are brought to justice. I cry every night missing him! We had so many plans and had just discussed them the 3rd. I love you David!”

“Joe, I didn't contact you at first because I was in a state of shock. I warned them about Wendy and if they had listened David would still be alive. I was supposed to have moved back to Bassett with him but my daughter was pregnant high risk and David couldn't wait until to teach him to repair cars. We were going to live together again after my daughter was released by her Dr. Which would have the end of October. I tried to join him right before his birthday by doing what took him.”
