He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvis Lincoln Bowman and Nellie Combs Bowman; his wife Linda Bowman; and his siblings, William E. Bowman, Rollie F. Bowman, Larry J. Bowman and Goldie L. Bailey.
He is survived by: his children, Karen "Kandi" Thompson, Thomas W. Bowman and Burd "J. R." Blevins; his grandchildren, Nicholas W. Thompson, Joseph Allen Thompson and Whitney E. Blevins; and his siblings, Margaret MacDougall, Eleanor Porpora, Dewey C. Bowman and Levern H. Bowman. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
