It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Edward Manns of Bassett, Virginia, who passed away on February 3, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Charles Edward is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Charles Edward's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Manns and Catherine Merriman Manns; his wife Ardelia Manns; and his son Corwin D. Manns. He is survived by: his children, Angela C. Chapman (James), Charles C. Manns (Debra) and Arno B. Manns; and his siblings, William Manns, Ida J. Brown (Willis) and Jewell Manns. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; as well as numerous extended family members and dear friends.
A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bassett Funeral Service (3665 Fairystone Park Hwy, Bassett, VA 24055).
