She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellen Smith Vaughn and Russell Smith; her husband James Elbert Mize; her sons, William "Billy" Mize, Russell Mize, Leonard Mize, Johnny Mize and Jesse Mize; her brothers, Albert Smith and William Vaughn; her son-in-law Billy Wilson; and her stepfather William E. Vaughn.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lillie Thomas and Judy "Dumpy"; her sister Geneva Martin; and her pets, Woofers, Snoopy and Bandit. She is also survived by thirty eight grandchildren; sixty seven great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren.
