He was predeceased by: his stepson Dylan Parham of Roanoke Rapids; and his father Clarence R. Banton, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Lather Banton (Cathy); his mother Barbara Taylor Wagoner; his brother Buck Banton (Susan) of Chesterfield; and his stepdaughters, Danielle Morse of Richmond and Mary Catherine Seymour of New Kent. He is also survived by many grandchildren and nephews.
