She was predeceased by: her parents, Chauncey Dovell Davis, Sr. and Rosa Jane Buckner Davis; her husband Michael Anthony Carey; her son Michael Anthony Carey, Jr.; her siblings, Beauford Hawkins, Elizabeth Smith and Chauncey "Pete" Davis, Jr.; and her son-in-law Jason Ferguson.

She is survived by: her daughters, Artelia Davis of Ruckersville, Danielle Carey-Ferguson of Gordonsville and Paulette Davis-Tyler (Keith) of Ruckersville; and her grandchildren, Jada Davis, Kornel Tyler, Dyziah Carey and Zion Ferguson. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
