He is survived by: his mother Betty Collier Herndon of Barboursville; his wife Carolyn Hughes Herndon; his sons, John Herndon (Dawn) and Josh Herndon (Emily); his sisters, Brenda Lloyd and Bonnie H. Morris (David Shifflett); his grandchildren, Makayla, Linzey, Ryleigh and Jared Herndon; and his nephew Brian Lloyd. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
