He was predeceased by: his father Everette Jesse Knighting, Sr.; and his siblings, Steve Knighting, Jeanette Weakley and Frances Smith. He is survived by: his close friend Brenda Johnson; his daughter Tina K. Sholes (David); his sisters, Rebecca K. Lohr (Shorty), Patricia K. Carpenter (Grover), Brenda K. Graves (William) and Linda K. Dodson; and his grandson Austin Lee Sholes.
