He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence "CJ" Hairston and Malissia Ann Hairston; and his brothers, Jeffrey Hairston, Warren Hairston and Joseph "Jay" Hairston.
He is survived by: his wife Aprille; his siblings, Clarence Hairston and Areola Michelle Hairston of Axton, Virginia.; and his grandchildren, La'Nydia, Paris, Maliyah, Kamarri, Ashanti and Ky'Mani. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
