She was predeceased by: her parents, John D. Wilson and Annie Flanagan Wilson; her husband Henry Clay Compton; and her brothers, William R. Wilson and John A. Wilson.
She is survived by: her children, Joyce Compton Price (Richard) of Huntersville, NC and J. C. Compton (Gilda) of Axton, VA; her grandson Richard Grant Price of Charlottesville; and her pet Little Joe.
