She was predeceased by: her husband James William Compton; her son Donnie Compton; and her siblings, Louise Compton, Katherine Soots, Ike Overton and Bud Overton.
She is survived by: her daughter Cindy Brown (Donnie) of Axton, Virginia; and her brother Ronnie Overton (Hazel) of Axton, Virginia.. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McKee-Stone Funeral Home (109 Broad St, Martinsville, VA 24112). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Roselawn Burial Park (103 Clearview Dr, Martinsville, VA 24112).
