He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Dallas Cassada and Cora Lou Earles Moore. He is survived by: his wife Dawn Berger Cassada; his sons, Jeffrey Cassada (Rachel) and Hunter Cassada; his siblings, Cheryl Gauldin and Terry Cassada (Linda); his grandchildren, Kayla Cassada, Joshua Cassada, Aaron Cassada, Kirrah Cassada and Kyndra Cassada; and his great grandchild Kayden Cassada-Liston.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Service Chapel (1425 Greensboro Rd, Martinsville, VA 24112). A memorial service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the The Artisan Barn (1215 Collins Rd, Axton, VA 24054).
