He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Harrison Draper and Fannie Hensley Draper; his wife Martha Dyches Draper; and his siblings, Gerard, Tommy Draper and Frances Walston (Jack).

He is survived by: his daughters, Bettie D. Bowles (Gene) and Nancy D. Oakes (Joey); his grandchildren, Sherri Shively (Brandon), Stevan Bowles (Shenika), Sylvia Oakes and Marshall Bowles; his great grandchildren, Colton Bowles, Reagan Shively and Grayson Shively; and his siblings-in-law, John Dyches (Joan), Patsy Draper and Florence Draper. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
