We are sad to announce that on May 26, 2024, at the age of 84, Henry Lee Bates of Axton, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Ree Bates and Annie Myers Bates; and his siblings, Irene Kennedy and Carroll Bates. He is survived by: his son Ricky Bates (Cookie); his siblings, Betty Blankenship (Ray), Leonard Bates and Albert Ree Bates, Jr.; his grandchildren, Ricky Bates II (Stephanie) and Sara Hankins (Brandon); and his great grandchildren, William Henry Bates and Jacob Wayne Hollandsworth. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
