He was predeceased by: his parents, John Early Perkins and Rev. Lettie Mae Perkins; his son Cagney Savoy Perkins; his brother Benjamin Perkins; his foster brother Elder Edward Hairton; and also Dr. Lettie Perkins Cohen.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Marie Hampton; his daughter Doris Marie Perkins; his adoptive son Javon Moorer (Pertina) of Charlotte, NC.; and his sisters, Gertie Martin of Eden, NC, Novella Thompson (Kenan) of Eden, NC and Elder Pam Perkins of Reidsville, NC.. He is also survived by Sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, a host of extended relatives and friends.
