He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Dalton and Bessie Pickett Dalton; his wife Minnie Edmonds Dalton; his children, Lucy Jennings, Vickie (Scott Smythers) and Ed Dalton; his granddaughter Heather Smith; his siblings, Kermit "Pete" Dalton and Oakie Freeman; and his brother-in-law Robert Luther Peak Hobo.
He is survived by: his children, Wanda (Danny Edwards), Crystal Wilson and Thomas of Patterson, VA; his daughter-in-law Cindy Dalton of Patterson, VA; his siblings, Daisy Kirk of Austinville, VA, Sue Snow, Harold "Lum" (Linda Dalton) and Herman "Moley" (Sue Dalton); his son-in-law Ray Jennings A; and his close friend Gene Marshall of Patterson, VA. He is also survived by extended family & friends.
Due to COVID -19 restrictions & regulations, there will be no public visitation at the funeral home with the family present, all persons who plan on attending the services are required to wear a facial cover & practice social distancing at all times, the family & Highland Funeral Service asks that anyone with COVID-19 like symptoms please refrain from attending the services.
