He is survived by: his son Justin Virgle Nester (Donna) of Austinville, Virginia; his stepchildren, Wendy Nester and Shannon "Dale" Winesett of Galax, Virginia; his siblings, Ida Eastridge of Hillsville, Virginia, Arnie Nester of Hillsville, Virginia, Olen G. Nester of Hillsville, Virginia, Elmo Nester of Shorts Creek, Virginia, Arlie (Prudence Nester) and Stevie "Elton" (Linda Nester); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Pearl Nester and Elaina Hopie Nester; and his stepgrandchildren, Brady Winesett, Kodie Winesett, Kendrick Hawks and Kayla Rector. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
