He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Mathis Freeman and Mary Hylton Freeman. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy H. Freeman; his daughter Katherine Freeman Walters; his son-in-law Dean of Wytheville; his brother Duane Freeman; his sister-in-law Mary of Wytheville; his niece Tammi (Mike Jackson); and his great-niece Emily Jackson of Lynchburg, VA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
