Joel Steely Peterson Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur C. "Pete" Peterson and Vera Amelia Steely Peterson; his significant other Joan Angela Blewitt Peterson; and his son John B. Peterson (Theresa). He is survived by: his children, Susan Peterson Fetter, Jay Peterson (Marcy) and Scott Peterson (Lissa); his daughter-in-law Ana Paula Peterson; his grandchildren, Jenny Peterson, Michael Peterson (Hythus), Amy Peterson (Sarah), Samantha Fetter, Rachel Peterson Schultz (Taylor), Jake Peterson (Danielle), Kate Peterson, Eliza Fetter, Daniel Peterson, Luke Peterson, Jack Peterson, Erin Peterson, Mary Peterson, Eileen Peterson, Steven Peterson, Kelly Peterson, Sean Peterson, Marisa Draper Schmidt (Michael) and Olivia Draper; his great grandchild Liam Steely Schultz; and his brothers, Bill "Pete" Peterson and John C. Peterson. He is also survived by 19 nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Star of the Sea Catholic Church (1404 Pacific Ave, Virginia Beach, VA 23451).
