He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Sexton and Mamie Greer Sexton; and his siblings, Betty Louise, Leona Darlene, Nancy Ellen, Arthur Junior, James Clifton, Archie Lee and Troy Jefferson.

He is survived by: his siblings, Charity Marie Autry of Marshville, NC, Jacqueline Ellison of Marshville, NC and Thornton David.
