He is survived by: his wife Phylis Ann Surber; his children, Melissa Gilliam of Marion, VA, Greg Chatham of Marion and Misty Trivette (Hunter) of Glade Spring; his sisters, Ruth Sharitz of Marion, VA and Carol Choate (Jessie) of Sugar Grove, VA; and his grandchildren, Jessica Gilliam, Chase Chatham, Jessie Chatham, Addie Umbarger and Skylar Trivette. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and several special friends.
