He was predeceased by: his parents, Ned Hayter and Jennie Hayter. He is survived by: his wife Susan Hayter of Ashland, VA; and his children, Karl Hayter (Joanna), Fiona, Olivia of Richmond, VA and Jess Hayter of Charlottesville.
