She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Oliver and Inez Slaughter Oliver; her husband Walter Lee Owens Sr.; and her son Steven Oliver Owens. She is survived by: her children, Walter Lee Owens Jr. (Lori) and Jo Ann Owens; her daughter-in-law Terry Owens; her grandchildren, Andrew Owens (Karen) and Chris Owens (Lindsay); and her great grandchild Cameron Owens.
