He is survived by: his daughters, Joyce Straus of Glen Allen, VA, Kim Hodges (Larry) of Richmond, VA, Victoria Holman-James of Jacksonville, AR and Katonya Holman-Tate of Waco, TX; his stepchildren, Elroy Ford, Darnell Ford, Michael Ford and Antonio Ford; his grandchildren, Michael Holman, Tyron Straus, Chorey James, Micarah James, Douglas James, Jr., Dena'Straus, ShaTonya James, Rhakeem James, Tiffany Goode, Davontae Goode, Phillip Carpenter, Jr., Allendra Carpenter and Kierra Carpenter; his siblings, Laura Storrs (Cassell) and Earl Holman; his sisters-in-law, Martha Holman and Florence Trice; his goddaughter Shawn Moore Hobson; and his friends, Greg Grimes, Mark Cash and Leon "Cheese" Harris. He is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
