He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, John Schiermeier (Dianne), Andrew Schiermeier (Marie-Cécile) and Lisa Schiermeier-Wood (David); his grandsons, Nicholas, Benoît and Matthieu; and his stepgrandsons, Marshall Wood and Michael Wood (Jessica).
